"GRIFFIN" is a mythical creature in the medieval bestiary and heraldry. It is portrayed with a lion's body, but with the wings and head of an eagle. "GRIFFIN" combines the symbolic qualities of both the kind of birds and the kind of beasts - the speed, flight, and penetrating vision of the eagle, and the strength, courage, and majesty of the lion.
